In the year 2004 World Vision made a significant decision towards the prevention of malaria amongst children. They undertook a program that would see 82,000 of the World Vision sponsored children sleeping under PermaNet® mosquito nets. This was the first part of the program. We are proud of the fact that they choose PermaNet® as the net to donate to these young children due to its inherent long lasting properties.
In 2005, World Vision undertook the second part of the program that was again to see another 90,000 children (including increased number of sponsored children) within the same household get another net. This would ultimately provide these particular households with two nets and meet the overall objective of ensuring that all the children within a household sleep under a net.
We wish World Vision all the success in their noble task. |
