| DIHAD 2006 saw the soft launch of LifeStraw® and has opened new doors for Vestergaard Frandsen this April. On the first day of the event, Mikkel Vestergaard Frandsen and the VF Regional Directors welcomed the official DIHAD delegation including special guest Mr. Jan Egeland, the United Nations Under-Secretary General to the VF stand. |

The VF stand had another surprise visitor on April 12th - musician and anti-poverty campaigner Sir Bob Geldof, who was in Dubai to lobby the Oil rich Gulf Countries to increase their Aid contributions.
Sir Bob received a brief presentation on LifeStraw® by Mr. Patrick Sieyes. Sir Bob left the VF stand totally amazed by LifeStraw® and it's anticipated impact on poverty. His admiration for LifeStraw® came in the words "This is amazing, I can't believe this product. Why didn't I think of this?" |

The Poverty campaigner was ecstatic about LifeStraw® and left the VF stand with a LifeStraw® around his neck. Sir Bob had to be pulled away from the VF stand by the organizers but before he left, he signed a LifeStraw® and a PermaNet®.
The event also saw sponsorship opportunities and donations of LifeStraw® and PermaNet® to the World Food Program and Airport Emergency Team (AET), Dubai. |
