Jun 11, 2004
Vestergaard Frandsen East Africa donated 40 PermaNet®, 10 T-shirts, and 15 Caps to the Sudan Development Trust. The Sudan Development Trust is the first organization to publish a newspaper for Southern Sudan. The paper is printed on a fortnight basis and 25,000 copies in English and 15,000 copies in Arabic are circulated amongst the Sudanese people.

The donation goes to a newly trained team of 40 journalists, which will be spread all over Southern Sudan. The newspaper's editor Dan Eiffe wanted to ensure that the journalists in the field would not suffer from Malaria. The journalists were also given Guinea Worm Filters for drinking water safely.
