 150 PermaNet® donated on Africa Malaria Day

This year's Africa Malaria Day was celebrated in Kenya in Kitui District of Eastern Province.
It was a high profile event with all the top officials from the Ministry of Health, UNICEF and WHO in attendance, including the Hon’ Minister Charity Ngilu and WHO representative Peter Eriki.
The event began with a parade through the town led by nursing students holding an ‘Africa Malaria Day’ banner, some of them wearing PermaNet® t-shirts.
The parade ended in a stadium where the dignitaries made speeches. The Minister mentioned the planned distribution of 3.4 million LLINs this year.
The event concluded with the Minister distributing free nets, especially to Women with children. Most of the nets were PermaNet® - 150 of these were donated by Vestergaard Frandsen.
