| The Kasisi Children's home in Zambia was founded in 1926 by Dominican Sisters and later handed over to the Little Sisters of Mary Immaculate, a Polish order. The home caters for the orphans, street children and also for the terminally ill children who have a special hospice within the orphanage. There are a total of 216 children in the home. |

Sister Mariola who is seen in the picture receiving the nets manages the home and has done some excellent work towards this end. The place is spotlessly clean and the sisters have managed to create a very good environment for the children.
The home is situated not so far away from a dam and as such malaria has been a key concern for them. Some kids have unfortunately even died from malaria. PermaNet® was therefore very well received and appreciated especially in the hospice where the children infected with HIV/AIDS cannot afford to have malaria. |
