Purpose of Position
Successful registrations and regulatory approvals are critical to the company’s financial success. Managing the interface between numerous regulatory agencies and the company to meet timelines and regulatory requirements is a key position in the company requiring special skills and expertise. This position is designed to provide leadership, direction, and knowledge about the registration of the company’s products on a global basis. The Global Regulatory Manager is accountable for developing a proactive regulatory strategy for new and existing product offerings in approximately 45 countries.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop regulatory strategies to most efficiently generate data packages for product chemistry, toxicology, environmental and product performance data necessary to receive approvals in a timely manner to meet sales objectives
- Develop templates for major submissions and schedule core registration packages
- Dossier / registration document preparation for all authorities
- Maintain global registration / renewal licenses worldwide
- Develop product labels and language to assure compliance; obtain approvals for these labels
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain electronic documentation and archiving systems
- Define environmental and safety claims for labels within allowed regulatory parameters
- Analysis, preparation, and execution of all compliance documents for new products
- MSDS development for all products
- Responsible to insure trademarks are registered
- Negotiate and supervise studies conducted by consultants, contract research laboratories, university research personnel, and independent researchers to develop data necessary to achieve approvals by government agencies
- Interact with WHOPES and other global authorities
- Interface with authorities through direct meetings and communications
- Prepare and manage annual budget for all regulatory activities
- Provide support to Manufacturing, Innovation Center, and Product Development groups for preparation of Standard Operating Procedures for compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices
- Know, interpret, and influence global regulatory guidelines
- Communicate the impact of technical and regulatory issues on existing and potential market opportunities
- Analyze complex regulatory options and make appropriate recommendations for action
- Work closely with Marketing and Development personnel to support projects to expand use of current products and regulations
Supervisory Responsibilities The position may have functional responsibility for 1-3 regional Registration Specialists who report operationally to Regional Directors.

Experience Requirements
- M.S. science degree with minimum 7 years regulatory experience
- Strong knowledge of registration requirements of Africa and Asia

Responsibilities Timely launch of new products:
- Ensuring the relevant data is generated for efficacy & safety of the product for its timely launch in unregulated markets.(Create evidence)
- Get publications on product trials wherever possible
- Liase with Product registration to generate additional data for product registration in country with the regulations.

Responsibilities
- Scientific support for the Vestergaard Frandsen entomological laboratory in Vietnam

- Publication of results through collaboration partners and in-house authored articles
- Writing and review of protocols for field testing of vector control and water products for:

- Establishing collaborative projects using VF products with companies/ NGOs
- Worldwide VF representation at conferences and meetings and external presentations of new products

Job Summary
The incumbent will support all VFG product portfolio for the specific geographical area covered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:-
- Mapping and linking business opportunities to grow the company’s products and services in the region within the public health sector (joint health impact).
- Responsible for developing a database mapping the diseases in the country and the programs on the ground and to keep an up to date list of donors, implementing agencies (NGO’s, MOH,UN) and their activities.
