Area Manager, c.s.
As our new Area Manager c.s. based in South Africa you will offer customer support services to both internal and external customers in the field of disease control public health including but not exclusively vector, water and H.I.V in liaison with Regional Area Manager c.s. (RAM) and Regional Director c.s (RD).
Personal profile
As our new Area Manager c.s., you:
- Are willing to travel within the southern Africa Region at least 100 days per year (including Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe)
- Are a South African citizen (mandatory)
- Have an advanced degree in business administration/Bachelors degree in business related field (perquisite) and an additional degree/diploma in Public Health related discipline will be an added advantage
- Have approx. 3 years experience in sales in public health, pharmaceutical or insecticide related field will be and added advantage

- Are able to work proactively and without supervision with a sense of urgency
- Are a self-confident, engaging extraverted communication style based on natural warmth and enthusiasm
- Build relationships and rapport quickly and interact cross-culturally and at all levels of the organization
- Have sharp analytical and planning skills
- Possess knowledge and skills in how to successfully influence and persuade others, demonstrate selling practices, understand the importance of win/win in negotiations and possess the dexterity to achieve it
- Are a strong team player who drives results by enrolling the commitment and buy in of others
Responsibilities
The job includes the following responsibilities:
- Contribute positively to the overall organisation’s expectations both qualitatively and quantitatively
- Meet the set country and product portfolio specific quantitative targets as per the annual action plan and budgets
- Conceptualize, prepare and provide annual country plans for review
- Prepare objective based country travel plans, execute and report with detailed analysis of the visits with a proposed way forward
- Develop a country specific database of key customers, stakeholders and partners in the company’s key areas of operation (Water, Vector and HIV) in liaison with Public Health
- Ensure recruitment, training, development, maintenance, focus and appraisal of AGENTS with monthly reports in their respective countries of responsibility
- Ensure timely payment of debts within the agreed credit period.
- Process customer’s enquiries/requisitions timely within a maximum 48 hour period or as stated within tender documents
- Ensure customer complaints are discussed to resolution with the customer and relevant internal departments to satisfaction
- Ensure personal development of product knowledge within VF portfolio and any other academic qualifications for the position of an Area Manager
- Use effectively and efficiently company resources with the aim of maximizing productivity
- Research , consolidate and provide country Competitor information with the aim of developing a counter strategy with RAM and RD

We develop and produce unique disease prevention and control products which we supply primarily to the developing world through donor organisations, the United Nations, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), National Ministries of Health in the developing world and commercial distributors.
Project Coordinator, Disease Control Textiles
As our new Project Coordinator you will be part of a team responsible for managing specialized vector control projects at our Innovation Center.
You will be part of the R&D team located in Switzerland, India and Vietnam, a young, dynamic and constantly expanding organization. We are passionate to make a difference, working with precision, speed and most of all, dedication to Imagineering. You are:
- Holding a technical Ph.D., Master or engineering degree, preferably in chemistry.
- Preferably having experience with polymers
- Preferably experienced in working with encapsulation technologies.
- Preferably having lived or studied abroad
- Proficient in English - written and verbal skills are mandatory.
- Ambitious and enthusiastic, high-energy and passionate to make a difference.
- A confident self-starter with competitive drive, initiative, decisiveness.
- A gifted relationship developer with good communication skills.
- Goal oriented, with a high level of analytical skill characterized by an attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities
- To be part of a strong team developing products to combat vector borne diseases.
- Being able to manage projects independently (for instance running R&D trials abroad, from the initial sourcing of materials to the final results): it is envisioned that after the initial period, the successful candidate will handle entire projects with minimal supervision only.
- Being able to connect projects with the wider context of product development.
- Being able to develop a project plan for the product development with clear goals and milestones and report back to the project team on the progress of the activities.
- Be part of building test protocols both for internal and external testing.
- Being able to understand and incorporate the ideas and requirements form the commercial and market oriented part of the organisation.
The job will be located at our R&D facility in Hanoi, after a brief onboarding period in the Lausanne headquarters. The Project Coordinator, Disease Control textiles will report to the Project Manager, Product Development, based in Lausanne.

R&D Director Water
As our new R&D Director Water you will be overall responsible for product development and sourcing of water products. You will lead a team of three project managers in Switzerland and be overall responsible for our water laboratory in Vietnam. You will be part of the HQ in Lausanne, a young, dynamic and constantly expanding organization. We are passionate to make a difference, working with precision, speed and most of all, driven by finding new solutions by combining both creative and traditional thinking.
Personal profile and job demand
As our new R&D Director Water you are:
- Experienced in developing and designing water filtration tools and have a background at Master's Level (e.g. Master in Plastic Engineering, Membrane Engineering, Micro Biology).
- Minimum 10 years experience from both R&D and manufacturing are required.
- A strong leader, setting yourself ahead of the team and make the innovation necessary both in market- and cost leadership.
- A track record of strong team building skills and of developing people's skills and talents. Able to building strong relationships to all team members.
- Develop the individual team members and the tasks at hand, pursuing the product development progress.
- A confident self-starter with competitive drive and decisiveness.
- Ambitious and enthusiastic, high-energy and passionate to make a difference.
- Able to handle urgent and often unpredictable tasks while ensuring that tight deadlines are met.
- Being talented in navigating complex multicultural environments on all continents of the world and especially in Asia.

Responsibilities
We have very high expectation to the growth of our Water division as it is a focus area in our strategy. The new R&D Director Water will be in charge of ensuring that the right developments are ready to fulfill the ambitious goals. Within the segment that we are serving, we must be in the forefront worldwide. Therefore a key element in the job will be to come up with ideas and concepts that the world has not seen today. The job therefore amongst others includes the following responsibilities:
- Development of our strategy within Water and hereafter implementing the strategy in the Water division and as part of the company.
- Overall responsibility for product development and sourcing of water products and launch within defined timeframe.
- Overall responsibility for handling internal and external product testing.
- Manage and develop the R&D team, suppliers and customers.
- Deliver results with foresight, take initiatives and be reliable.
- Overall responsibility for the cost budget.
