Laboratory Researcher, Water Lab - Vietnam
We are looking to fulfill the position of Laboratory Researcher for our Water Lab in Hanoi. In this role, you will report to Water Laboratory Manager. Your overall responsibility will be to perform R&D chemistry-related projects and to establish/run the ISO 17025 system in the laboratory to ensure quality of the raw materials, in-process products and finished products.

As a Laboratory Researcher, you will possess:
Analytical thinking, precision, excellent reporting and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Microsoft Window software skills (Excel, Word, Power Point), statistical analysis software skill and internet applications (search, email, Skype, etc)
- Ability to learn quickly and understand complex working environments
- Ability to work on many simultaneous projects
- Effective team building skills and loyal team player
- Task-oriented and sense of deadline for reports
- Good command of English (mandatory) and Vietnamese
Education
Hold at least a Bachelor or Master degree in Analytical Chemistry
Experience
- Have a minimum 2 year experience working in a laboratory, especially with chemistry analytical methods
- Have experience in analytical chemistry: drinking water testing (heavy metal, pesticides, etc.), wet chemistry methods, dosimetry, spectrophotometry, HPLC, GC, etc.
- Have experience in establishing and running quality assurance systems: ISO IEC 17025, GLP or equivalent
- Have experience in chemistry equipment maintenance/calibration
- Have experience in laboratory experiments design and set-up
- Have experience in laboratory safety procedures
- Have experience in working with hazardous chemical substances
Responsibilities
As a Laboratory Researcher, your responsibility will include:
Set up/implement/conduct chemistry related analytical methods/studies
- Establish and run ISO 17025 system in the laboratory for both chemistry and microbiology fields
- Report test results in accordance with management requirements
- Participate in the creation and installation of new Products’ Test Procedures
- Work directly/closely with foreign R&D project managers and under the supervision
of the laboratory manager - Supervise a group of laboratory technicians and lab aids
- Ensure constant high quality level of work
- Meet deadlines for results/reports submission
- Maintain knowledge and consistent application of safety guidelines
