Laboratory Engineer - Vietnam
We are looking to recruit a new Laboratory Engineer to join our Innovation Centre team at Formulation Lab in the Vietnam office. As our new Laboratory Engineer, you will get involved in a wide range of development work from process to product, from laboratory to production. The Laboratory Engineer reports directly to the Formulation Laboratory Manager.

Education
You will need to:
- Hold a university degree with background in organic or physical chemistry, processing polymers, or textile chemistry; Master of Science/ education abroad would be an advantage
- Be fluent in English: strong written and verbal skills are mandatory
Experience
- It is advantageous if you have experience in finishing and coating techniques, with preference for textile application
- Professional work experience from an international company in the same or similar position is an advantage
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include three main tasks:
Researcher: As a researcher, you will contribute to the development of new products by
- Developing new products by coating active ingredients in subjected substrate. This includes but is not limited to paper works, desk research, carrying on experiments, analysing data and evaluating products
- Discussing with research group on results, and discuss on the next steps of development
Formulation engineer: As a formulation engineer, you will
- Operate laboratory equipment with precision and care
- Develop methods and procedures, and provide required training to technicians so that they could operate with the designed methods and procedures
- Deal with processes and formulations to optimize existing products and develop new products
Laboratory staff: As a laboratory staff, you will
- Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced
- Follow and ensure strict safety procedures and safety checks
