PermaNet® 3.0 - Quality Control

Vestergaard Frandsen maintains quality control standards necessary to meet WHOPES specifications. We are the only LLIN manufacturer with our own internal bioassay laboratory complying with WHO protocol. Vestergaard Frandsen has a fully-fledged research center located in Ghana, West Africa and state-of-the-art well equipped laboratory in Hanoi, Vietnam. This ensures real-time monitoring of quality. The bioassay lab, raises its own mosquitoes and performs cone and tunnel tests in order to test the mortality, knock-down and blood-feeding inhibition of PermaNet^® 3.0.

The chemical laboratories in Vietnam measure the chemical dosage on the net, while the mechanical laboratories in Vietnam focus on the intricate details such as width, mesh and weight control, bursting strength of the netting material and dimensional stability in washing and drying.

Certificate of Quality

Each shipment of PermaNet^® 3.0 is accompanied with a Certificate of Quality (COQ).

COQ summarises Quality Control testing data, including physical properties, chemical properties, dimension check, visual check, marking and packing for every batch or shipment. It is sent to the customer for their information.
